Sting Alarm has protected homes and businesses since 2003. We're licensed to operate in Arizona under AZ ROC CR-16 #359059 and CR-67 #357917, and our Phoenix office at 11398 North Cave Creek Road, Suite D, Phoenix, AZ 85020 serves homeowners across Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, Tempe, Gilbert, Glendale, and Peoria.
One vendor handles it all: intrusion detection, video surveillance, and smart home control, all on a single monitored system instead of separate accounts with separate companies.
Comprehensive Home Security for Every Phoenix Home
Every system we design starts with your home, not a fixed package. Most installations combine:
- Intrusion detection: PowerG long-range wireless door and window sensors, motion detection, and a wireless touchscreen panel, monitored 24/7.
- Video surveillance: HD indoor and outdoor cameras with live view and recorded event history from your phone.
- Smart home integration: locks, thermostats, lighting, and other Z-Wave smart devices, all controlled from the same app as your security system.
- Smoke and heat detection: optional sensors that tie into the same monitored panel as your security system. This is separate from commercial fire alarm monitoring, which is a distinct, code-required system for businesses.
Cameras, Doorbells, and Control Built for Real Phoenix Homes
Touchscreen Security Panel
One panel controls the whole system: arm, disarm, check sensors, and manage users right from the wall.
Floodlight Cameras
Motion-activated lighting paired with HD video and a built-in siren, so a camera does more than just record.
Video Doorbells
See and speak with whoever's at the door from your phone, whether you're upstairs or across town.
One App for Everything
Arm and disarm, lock doors, check cameras, and adjust the thermostat, all from the same app.
Smart Thermostat
Set schedules, track energy use, and adjust the temperature from home or away, right alongside your security system.
Smoke Detection
Wireless smoke detectors tied into the same monitored panel, so a fire alert reaches us immediately.
Carbon Monoxide Detection
Monitors for dangerous CO levels around the clock, not just smoke.
Temperature Monitoring
Alerts you to extreme heat or a failed AC before it becomes a real problem, especially during Phoenix summers.
Powered by PowerG: Long-Range Wireless Protection
Every system we install runs on PowerG, wireless technology used in more than 35 million devices worldwide. PowerG sensors communicate with your panel from up to 6,000 feet away with encrypted signals, real range and real security, not just a spec sheet number.
Video Verification: Faster Police Response When Every Second Counts
Phoenix's own police department says false alarms cost the city "millions of dollars and thousands of wasted man hours" every year, and repeat false alarms cost you directly, up to $96 per false burglar alarm and $105 per false fire alarm within a 365-day period. Unverified alarms get treated as low priority because most of them turn out to be nothing.
Video verification changes that. The moment your alarm trips, our Remote Guarding team can pull up live video from your cameras right away, confirm whether it's an actual intruder or a false trigger like a pet or a delivery, and relay that confirmed information to police. A verified, confirmed event gives responding officers real information instead of an unknown alarm signal, which is what lets it move ahead of the unconfirmed calls stacked up behind it.
- Real-time confirmation: a trained monitoring agent views live footage the instant your alarm activates, not a recording reviewed later.
- Fewer false-alarm fines: verification catches false triggers before police are ever dispatched, protecting you from Phoenix's escalating false-alarm fees.
- Priority information for responding officers: a confirmed event gives police something concrete to act on, not just an alarm signal.
Every camera in the equipment lineup above, including your floodlight camera and video doorbell, feeds into this same video verification process.
Built for Phoenix Homes, Not a National Template
Equipment Rated for the Heat
Outdoor cameras and sensors here have to survive Phoenix summers and monsoon season, not just look good in a showroom. We spec equipment and mounting accordingly, and place panels and hubs away from direct heat exposure during installation.
HOA and Permit Familiarity
Many Phoenix-area communities have HOA rules on visible equipment, camera placement, and exterior modifications. We handle that conversation as part of the installation, not after the fact.
A Local Team You Can Reach
Same-day service from a team based in your metro area, backed by a monitoring operation that's been running since 2003.
Phoenix Alarm Permit Requirements
The City of Phoenix requires a permit for any burglar or fire alarm system, monitored or not, within 10 days of installation. The application fee is $17 per control panel (burglar only, fire only, or combined burglar and fire), payable to the City of Phoenix.
The application also asks for at least two "Responsible Representatives," people other than you who agree to respond to an alarm activation within 30 minutes to help police or fire determine the cause and secure the property. We'll walk you through exactly what the application needs as part of your installation.
Apply for a Phoenix alarm permit directly through the City of Phoenix, or contact the Police Department's Alarm Detail at 602-534-0322 with questions.

Home Security in Phoenix: Common Questions
How much does a home security system cost in Phoenix?
Cost depends on how many entry points, cameras, and smart home devices you want covered, so we don't quote a generic number off a price sheet. A free walkthrough of your home gets you an exact price, with no obligation to move forward.
How does video verification help get a faster police response?
The moment your alarm trips, our monitoring team can view live video from your cameras and confirm what's actually happening in real time. A confirmed event gives responding officers real information instead of an unverified alarm signal, which is what lets a video-verified alarm move ahead of the unconfirmed calls stacked up behind it.
Should I get a DIY system or a professionally installed one?
DIY systems can work for a single apartment, but most houses have entry points and blind spots a self-install misses. A professional walkthrough catches what a DIY kit's default sensor placement won't, and professional monitoring means someone actually responds when an alarm trips, even if you don't see the alert.
How do home security systems work?
Sensors on doors, windows, and motion zones connect wirelessly to a central panel. When a sensor trips while the system is armed, the panel signals our monitoring center, which contacts you and can dispatch police or fire if needed, all within seconds.
Are home security systems worth it for a Phoenix home?
Beyond deterring break-ins, a monitored system can lower your homeowners insurance premium, give you video evidence if something does happen, and let you check on your home from anywhere. For most homeowners, the monthly cost is small relative to what a single break-in or fire actually costs.
Do you serve areas outside Phoenix proper?
Yes. We install and monitor systems throughout Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, Tempe, Gilbert, Glendale, and Peoria in addition to Phoenix.
What Phoenix Homeowners Say
Real reviews from real Sting Alarm customers.
Update . I had a second visit from Sting. I needed Smoke and Heat detectors to satisfy an insurance obligation. Tech was Mike, he was prompt, friendly and completed installation of 4 units in a little over an hour. Excellent. 5 Stars again.
